Steins and ‘Stashes
Oct 26 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Let’s get muddy! It’s Steins and ‘Stashes night and we’re feeling alright!! Join us at Art Off Center for a Friday night of pottery making and socializing with friends. Get a group together or make it a date night! Couples are invited to learn to use the pottery wheel for the first time to throw a pair of beer steins and decorate them with manly moustaches or beards and cute little foxes or bunnies. We’ll help couples learn to use the pottery wheel to make the steins from scratch and then do some decoratin’.

Great class for couples to experience making pottery together. The first 30 minutes will focus on a studio tour and demonstrations of throwing a cup on the wheel. Participants will get one-on-one time with the instructor(s) throughout. We want you to have a great time creating pottery whether you are a beginner or more advanced. However, please remember this is just an introduction to clay! We cannot guarantee high quality results for pottery made during the session. Our goal is to provide you with a great evening to remember! We will fire your steins in our kiln with a single glaze of your choice from our studio selection. Beer Steins will be fired and ready for pickup in a few days.

We’ll have some Abba, Kool and The Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire spinning on the boombox. Local beers from Texas Beer Company available for purchase, please drink responsibly! We’re located on Potter’s Alley, direct entrance off Talbot Street/Main Street on the alley side of the McCrory Timmerman building. Parking on Talbot Street.

Each ticket is priced for a couple (two people). Class includes cost of two beer steins, underglazes, glazing and firing.
