Flyball is a dog sport where teams of four dogs race against each other over a line of hurdles to a springloaded box, “catch” a tennis ball from the box and then race back to their handlers with the ball. The fastest team that runs without any errors wins.
The course consists of the start line, 4 hurdles spaced 10 feet apart and a box. The start line is outfitted with a line of red, yellow, and green lights, similar to what you would see at a drag race. A large space behind the course (runback area) allows the teams to position themselves and give their dogs a running start.

Couples Date Night
Let’s get muddy! It’s Couples Date Night at Art Off Center for a Friday night of pottery making and socializing with friends. Get a group together or make it a date night! Couples are invited to learn to use the pottery wheel for the first time to throw a pair of beer steins/coffee mugs and decorate them with sprigs or with our assortment of texture tools. We’ll help couples learn to use the pottery wheel to make the steins or mugs from scratch and then do some decoratin’.
Great class for couples to experience making pottery together. The first 20 minutes will focus on a studio tour and demonstrations of throwing a cup on the wheel. Participants will get one-on-one time with the instructor(s) throughout. We want you to have a great time creating pottery whether you are a beginner or more advanced. However, please remember this is just an introduction to clay! We cannot guarantee high-quality results for pottery made during the session. Our goal is to provide you with a great evening to remember!
We will fire your pieces in our kiln with a single glaze of your choice from our studio selection. Steins or mugs will be fired and ready for pickup in a few days.
We’ll have some Abba, Kool and The Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire spinning on the boombox. Local beers from Texas Beer Company available for purchase and feel free to BYOB, so please drink responsibly! We’re located on Potter’s Alley, direct entrance off Talbot Street/Main Street on the alley side of the McCrory Timmerman building. Parking on Talbot Street.
Each ticket is priced for a couple (two people). Class includes the cost of two steins or mugs, underglazes, glazing, and firing.
