Show & Tell at THE BLACK SPARROW

So come have a drink (or a meal!) + share something that has a story. This can be an actual THING: an old baseball glove or the book you named your kid after, or it can be a CREATION: a poem or a song or a painting (yours or someone else’s). Just make sure you keep your share to under 5 minutes! We will NOT be using the stage. It’s not a performance, it’s a hang.

Hanna Barakat 10:00-11:30PM

Gabor Nicholson Band
Singer/Songwriter Gabor Nicholson has been immersed in the central Texas music world since childhood. At a young age, Gabor began training as a classical vocalist and violinist, as well as teaching himself the guitar. It wasn’t long after that Gabor also began writing original songs and playing them for anyone who would listen! Gabor’s classical instruction combined with the rock influences of bands such as Billy Joel, The Allman Brothers Band, The Eagles, and many more have given him a very unique and enjoyable sound. He has a voice that can bring you to tears one minute and have you rocking the next!

HANNA BARAKAT
Born in Texas to a Lebanese father and an American mother, Barakat combines a variety of influences. “While proudly paying homage to her roots, Barakat has cultivated her own style that merges Arab-Oriental influences with her love of rock music for a stunningly unique and original sound.” (Metal Nexus) Pure Grain Audio declares, “Artists come and go like skin cells but, sometimes, there are those that truly stand out for their immense talents. Barakat is clearly a member of the latter.”
